Visitor visa (subclass 600)

Visitor visa (subclass 600)
Hi! As some of you may know from my previous posts, I am soon to be married to an Australian citizen in the UK, and we're having a baby that will be half-Brit, half-Aus.
We are going to get a Spouse Visa for the UK in September when his visa in the UK ends, so we have to travel to Australia. I'm a bit concerned because I cannot figure out what visa I should get. I CAN'T get a spouse visa for Australia because it's too much money and we don't plan to live there for some time. The Spouse Visa for the UK can take 3 - 6 - 9 months, so I want a Visa that covers at minimum 6 months.
My child is not considered my dependent (I think) because he is, or will be, an Aussie citizen by descent, which we will make sure of before we leave the UK.
Does anyone know a good visa I can go on so we don't have to be separated? The closest I found was the title visa.
