we're hoping to be in Oz in the next few months and was wondering if someone can help with some info.
My mom is currently in the UK on an ancestral visa (age 65), can anyone tell me what sort of tourist visa she can get, we're ideally hopng she can spend a few months at a time with us in Oz and return to the UK for a few months.
Does anyone know what's allowed in terms of repeat visits, how often in a year and how long each stay can be for?
thanks

Hi Pollyana, she is south african

Then she needs a tourist visa. If the visa is multiple entry then repeat visits are allowed but she is not allowed to try to move to Australia as a tourist.
How far away is she from British citizenship? May be a bad idea to spend too much time outside the UK until this is all done.

Does she hold a UK passport? If she does she can apply for an evisitor visa - 3 month stay allowed.
If not then she will have to apply for a 679 or 676

usually 3 month stays are permitted, but you can apply for up to 12 months in one stint, but its likely to have a no-further-stay condition attached.
