Default VISA for my Husband..Help!!

Hi everyone!! I was accepted in a two years master in Australia. I am going to have my medicals soon, but I am not sure what type of Visa my husband has as a dependant. I suppose my Visa type is 573 (Higher Education) and according to my country we are Level 1.

I will appreciate any help

Are you not adding him onto your application?

I do!! There is where my question come from. He is onto my application but I have no idea what type of visa he has to apply for. He is planning to work fulltime due to my master lenght and in some part of the medical application he need to add "type of visa". I suppose he is not 573 higher education as I do.

You are not making any sense. If he is on your application then he will get the same visa as you. Normally a dependent on a student visa is restricted on number of hours worked but as you are doing a masters that might be different. Have a read on www.immi.gov.au about what this visa let's you do.

He doesn't apply for any visa. If he's a dependent on your application then he will be granted the same visa you are; 573. It will come with the same conditions as your visa, so I would double check whether you (or he) are allowed to work full time on that visa.

Family members of Masters students can work unlimited hours once the student has actually started the course.

your family members can work up to 20 hours per week provided you have commenced your course of study in Australia. If you are doing a postgraduate course, such as a Masters degree, your family members can work unlimited hours once you commence this course.
I agree though, the previous post doesn't make sense.

Actually, it makes total sense!! The thing is, in order to do the medical examination is required to fill two forms 26 and 126. However, in one of the question is asked "visa type", in that case my husband can not write 573 (higher education) as I do. He needs to write dependant without including any number, because he goes under my visa type.

No, he writes 573 because that will be his visa type too.
