Default VISA GRANTED TODAY

Just to let you know visa was finally granted today. so I am rather chuffed. got till november to validate it.
Thanks for the info on the site too,
Does anyone know if you need the stamp in your passport from the UK? As I know its all electronic.
Will be on more finding out what I need to do before I leave.

congratulations, you must be so excited. we are still mid process waiting for tra to come back, been waiting over 70 working days already so god knows when we will get to apply for ours. great news though, well done!!

I would get it stamped anyway. Send by special delivery with SD return bag. You'll have it back in a few days.

Just makes life easier at the airport methinks.

We got grant November 2011, but to be honest i hadnt thought about getting passports stamped???

to get your stamp your send it to
VISA EVIDENCING
MIGRATION BRANCH
AUSTRALIAN HIGH COMMISSION
STRAND
LONDON
WC2B 4LA

you have to include a copy of your visa grant letter and your passport and a pre paid special delivery envelope for the return of your passport

Deano, was that a 176 visa, I have just got my visa and I am going to validate it in month, I was just going to go and get it stamped as I entered at the airport. Should I get mine stamped in advance as well?

I called the Australian High Commision and they told me I don't need the stamp. It is all on computer so they will know about my visa when I enter Australia.
They did say it depends in which country you are but Britain is not one that needs the stamp.
I guess we will find out soon enough as we are going in 3 weeks to validate our visa.

yeah i phoned aswell, I just want the stamp im sad that way hahaha
