Default Vetasses

Hi,
I am from Canada and about to take the Vetasses carpentry assessment test. Now when it comes to Carpentry, there are two companies that assess -Vetasses and TRA australia. Both of them have different requirements. Vetasses has said if you are from a country other than India, Sri Lanka etc you can opt in the service.

Now,
Vetasses just wants proof of recent employment (with no minimum/maximum months of employment ) whereas TRA requires 3-4 years of work experience as an apprenticeship. Vetasses on the other hand has a self assessment tool, in which they ask about formal training in capentry etc and I do seem to meet all the requirements for vetasses.

So it is safe to be assessed by vetasses even if both companies vary?

Hello Darren,
If you have the qualifications to be assessed by TRA then this is the better way to go. It is much quicker and cheaper (TRA $300 v Vetassess $2,500). For the Vetassess application you would need to travel to a country where they do the Vetassess practicals - UK, South Africa, India etc.

Regards
