Hey,
I'm just about to lodge my visa application after landing a job at the Uni of Ballarat! I'm on an employer sponsored 457 visa. Now, I am doing this application electronically, so plan to scan in certificates etc. If you apply via snail mail, you are expected to send 'verified' photocopies of certificates (stamped and signed by a solicitor I guess). What about electronic copies?!
If I am scanning in the original (colour) would it need verifying?! It would seem counterintuitive to photocopy stuff, get it signed and then scan it? I did send an email to the help section of the UK-Oz immigration people asking the above and their response was:
"Should the processing centre require certification, it will be requested of the applicant by their case officer" - Which seems a little cryptic. Do I assume
that I can just scan in these certificates and if they need anything signing as a 'true copy' they will contact me for it?! I am so confused!!!
Any help would be gratefully received!

Hi Daisie!!
Welcome to BE!!
In response to your question, colour scan everything you need to upload and then send. Colour-scanned documents do not need to be certified.
Good Luck on your Visa Journey...
