Validating PR visa in new passport.
I renewed my passport a little while ago and was told that the visa automatically transfers over.
My first overseas trip was to NZ. Well guess what. I didn't have a valid visa in my passport to return. Luckily I got it sorted at the airport.
My family have recently all renewed their passports and I don't want to go through that again when we fly back to the UK at Christmas.
How do I get them pre validated ?
Thanks
Stu

A form 929 should cover this. http://www.border.gov.au/Forms/Documents/929.pdf
Seems you can do it online by logging into your immigration account too... How can I update my address or passport details?

Unless you tell DIBP what your new passport numbers are then they won't be able to link your PR status to your new passports. As stuie83 says Form 929 is the way to go if you can't do it via your ImmiAccount.
