Use of Form 80 for PCC

Use of Form 80 for PCC
Dear friends,
In the PCC form it is mentioned in many countries that the applicant should approach the local police headquarters and do the needful to obtain a PCC and then forward it to ASPC. In some countries it says that we have to fill out only Form 80 and send it to ASPC and then the ASPC would do the PCC. In our case we are from Sri lanka and living in Japan. Accordingly we have to get the PCC from Sri Lanka and Japan. Japanese PCC is obtained and sent to ASPC and the form 80 was also posted to ASPC in order to obtain the Sri Lankan PCC by ASPC. Our case officer only indicated us to send form 80 for Sri Lankan PCC. Now I am wondering is that all for the PCC? Has anyone undergone such situations? How do the ASPC do the PCC in Sri Lanka without our presence there? Can anyone highlight us on this pl?

FYI, we are Aug 2002 applicants under SDAS 139 class. We sent meds also along with the Japan PCC and Form 80 for Sri lankan PCC. Pl tell us How long from now we may here some good or bad news from ASPC?
