UK to Australia qualification

UK to Australia qualification
Hello all, I spoke to an agent today but she made very little sense, hopefully you can help.
I have a University certificate of higher education in construction quantity surveying. I have read that construction estimator requires equivalent to an Australian diploma. Does my qualification meet the standard?
Secondly I have been self employed for the last 8 years doing estimating as part of my business and prior to this worked for construction companies. What evidence do you need to provide as self employed that you have been working in the relevant field?
