Red face TRA Question...

Hi all,

Just been looking at some peoples Timelines and they have got the day they sent their application to the TRA and then some have got 'TRA Acknowledged' and then the date of this. How do the TRA let you know they have it?

On the form there is no field for an email address so do they write to you or call you and let you know?

TIA,

R.

They send you a letter in the post, acknowledging that they have received your application. Depending on where you live, you should get it around 2 weeks from the time they received your application. And then the processing time is calculated from the DATE ON THEIR LETTER acknowledging your application. Many people start calculating from the date that they posted the application, but this is not how TRA calculate it. If you have an agent - then I presume the letter is sent to the agent instead of you.

Thanks for both replies. Its a shame they do not use email like they do for the main application as a point of contact. Just saves that little bit of extra time!
