TRA-proof of hours training

TRA-proof of hours training
Hi all
I'm just about to send off hubby's TRA app but have panicked myself silly after reading some threads on here about failed applications.
Can anyone tell me if you have to have proof from the college for actual hours studied (as part of an apprenticeship) or is it sufficient to just write this yourself in the space on the form- which is what we have done.
My hubby did his college work 16 years ago so it may be difficult to get this!
Help please I feel so worried now!

We just filled in the boxes ie first year full time at college wrote the hours down then second years day release and wrote the hours down etc etc..........we also got in touch with the company i worked at and put the college info and apprentice stuff in the reference letter.

This whole thing is so nerve wracking- but I suppose it's nothing compared to packing your whole life up and moving to the other side of the planet!!! (should we be so lucky!)
