Smile Tra Advice - Who Certifies It?

Hi,

Can anyone help me? Who has to certify all your paperwork for TRA to be sent? Does it have to be a solicitor?

Thanks

No, this is what the TRA website say's:

Certifying person. Your country has suitably qualified people who are able to witness your signature on a legal document, e.g. lawyer, doctor, policeman, school teacher.

We were told that in the UK it had to be a JP or solicitor so I would double check.
I know in Oz a lot of people including police can certify documents
Hope this helps
Good luck with your TRA

Statutory Declarations have to be certified by a Solicitor.

All other paperwork can be certified by either a Solicitor or a Justice of the Peace.

Good luck

Are there any restrictions on family members signing paperwork for you, as we have about 5 members of our family in professional positions who would be able to sign for us ?
