Im hoping you guys can offer to some comfort!!

I posted my application 2, nearly 3 weeks ago (I know thats not a long time!!) but was wondering if it is the norm to receive an acknowledgement or not as the case may be.

As I have no wish to pester anyone - especially if some kind soul can give me the heads up!

Hi Rizalan

I received an acknowledge after about 2 weeks from TRA but that was back in October. Bear in mind the Christmas post - things are taking a little longer now. I wouldn't worry too much about it - they seem pretty good at assessing applications quite quickly (ours only took about 4 weeks from receipt).

If your really worried - try getting in touch with them.

Wait till you get to the next stage, I hate to say it but it's even worse!!

Hi Rizalan,

we posted our TRA application ( back in Summer 2002 this was), never got an acknowledgement - but final decision after 3 weeks.
Just give them a few more days, relax and don`t worry.
Troood is right, next step gets worse, so better start now exercising yourself in patience....

I will just be patient - I guess I was worried as I expected something i.e. confirmation of receipt - and I certainly dont want to chase them up (as thousands must do) and have no wish to delay the application.

Will as you have advised sit back (relax!!!) and wait to hear from them. I hear what you say Trood re Xmas.
