Default Timeframe for 2nd Stage Spousal Visa

HI Guys

I am in the middle of my 2nd Stage Spousal Visa. 2 months before my eligable date (19th April) I received my letter asking for the evidence for the 2nd stage of the Spousal visa.

The Letter incuded

A checklist of documents to send back.
The request letter
Acknowledgement Card
Stat Decs (2x for the missus and me).
Request for an AFP Cert

Anyways I filled them out and sent them back to the melbourne office 2 weeks before the eligable date. They sent back the Acknowledgement card with a letter stated that I was missing the AFP certificate on the 17th April ( I applied for this but was awaiting this to come in the post). I then sent this off once i have received it.

My question is, its now a month from the eligable date and have not heard a thing. I did some searching on the forum and everyone has random timeframes to when they received their PR. Has anyone gone through the process via the Melbourne office? If so how long generally does it take and should I call them to make sure they have everything they need?

P.S they only asked me to send back documents that they requested which was the stat decs from me and my missus, the AFP certificate, The certified docs and usual stuff but none of the extra evidence.

General processing time for the second stage at present sems to be around 6 months I'm afraid so you probably have a bit of a wait yet
