Default time frame

Dear All,
Can u advise the time frame to enter and reach australia after the
grant of our pr visa. Also is it necessary that the kids should also
validate their visa or the parents doing it is enough?
Since we have a commitment in our home country it seems difficult
settling down before 2 to 3 years. HELLLPPPP

Default Re: time frame

You must enter Australia by the first entry date. This will be shown
on your visas, and is usually 12 months later than the earliest date
of your medicals and police checks. The timescale can sometimes be
only 6 months.

ALL family members must enter Australia by this date. And the main
applicant must arrive first (or at the same time as the family).

If you arrive late, your visa will be cancelled. However, you need
only to stay for a short holiday if you are not ready to move.

You should move properly within 3 years or so, with an absolute
deadline of 5 years. The visa expiry date will be very clear. Arrive
one day after the expiry of your visa, and you are likely to have to
go home.

Does the 5 years' visa means a right to stay there? How about if we start
staying there on the 4th year until the 6th year to apply for the passport?
Does it mean that the stay in the 6th year is unauthorised?
