Is there anyone here lodged in September 2006?
Hi everybody
I lodged in September 2006 (Type of Visa: Skilled Independent 136) but still no news from visa. DIAC says I am in security check step.
Recently I heard from some people that the reason of such a big delay in granting visa is huge number of applications in July, August and September 2006.
1) Is this correct?
2) If anyone has a similar situation please let me know.

You have asked this several times. Unfortunately as you are from a 'high risk country' your visa will take longer to be granted.
You will just have to be patient!
