Just checking the fee changes for visas after june 30th 2005 and for a De Facto Spouse Visa, the fee has gone up from £535.00 to £816.81 (at the current rate).

Glad DIMA have already accepted my visa fee

Thats quite a bit isn't it!

I suppose as they said they have taken on more people to process the applications they have to get the money back from somewhere eh!

I haven't looked to see how much the Skilled Independent visa fees have gone up yet. Might just have to have a look now.

Your kidding!

I've had a look at the fees page on DIMIA website, but cant see anything about fee changes, the currency converter is still coming out at £535. Can you post a link please.

I am waiting for my police checks to come through, apart from that we are ready to apply. I assume the rate is the same for the Spouse Visa that I am applying for.

Thanks
Claire

OK, I found the bit about fees changes. But where did you get £816 from?

According to the currency converter the new fee comes out at £575. The new fee is $1305, and DIMIA use a fixed rate to convert to local currency, so todays exchange rate is irrelevant.

Panic over! I was about to shove the application in the post without the police checks. Phew!

Are you sure you are not confusing the fee for an offshore spouse visa with the onshore fee? (which is higher).

Jeremy

MY SINCERE APOLOGIES! I did get the on and off shore fees mixed up, I'm really, really sorry for any confusion.

Cat

The correct difference is: Fee before 30th June 2005 = £535
Fee after 1st July2005 = £575

Sorry
