Re: tempory sponsered migration,help please!
If you are a tradesman then sponsorship could be possible. But don't
settle for temporary residence other than as a short term stopgap -
you need a strategy leading to permanent residence and citizenship.
I would speak to a good migration agent if I were you.

tempory sponsered migration,help please!
hi,
I have recently returned from oz on a working holiday visa. While working there for a construction company I got offered a full time job with the company, and the director of the company agreed to sponser me.
After doing my own reasearch,I dont think I am elegable for tempory migration, even though my employer wants me.
I have no third level qualifications, although I have some city & guilds and other certs.
Am I wasting my time and money applying for sponsership?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have my heart and future set on living in Australia.
cheers,
Darach.

There are lots of factors that can influence the temporary sponsorship not just qualifications. If the company is willing to sponsor you they have to get the agreement up front before you apply - so it will be up to them to do that bit of work. What have they stated so far to you? Have you checked out the AUS government immigration site for temp visas?
I had a temp visa (we just got our PR organised) - it was based on my current skills and not my qualifications.
Cheers Sandra

Hi
My friend went to Oz 2 years ago on a WHV started work in a restaurant at the Opera House - bit of a workaholic moved up the ranks of waiterdom - due to hard work and dedication managers/owners wanted to keep him on - no qualifications or previous experience of working in the industry - I dont know exactly how but they sponsored him and he was given a four year extension - now some kind of head waiter.
So if he can do it you can.
Good luck
