Hi, Can anyone tell me if the money required to qualify for a Australian temporary
retirement visa (shown below) are still current?
Below is an extract from the Form 1044i pdf on the DIMA web site and is supposedly
'correct at July 2001'.
Thanks in advance for your help.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? ... funds/resources available for transfer to Australia
amounting to;
Either:
1. Not less than $650,000 (or $600,000 if the applicant has a non-dependant child
living permanently in Australia.
Or:
2. Not less than $200,000 (or $180,000 if the applicant has a non-dependent child
living permanently in Australia); and the applicants have an annual income of not
less than $45,000 (or not less than $42,000 if the applicant has a non-dependent
child permanently living in Australia). Then annual income can be made up from
pension rights and/or income from any additional funds you have other than the
$200,000 ($180,000) already included.

Hi Kevin,
Sounds right. Generally you can normally rely on the DIMIA forms on the date you
download them.
Cheers
