Hi all, I must say I m impressed with this newsgroup cos everyone help each other out and
so I hope someone could help me with my enquiry. I m currently in Australia on a wat u
guys call a 457 4 year work visa and I think the terms is I got to stick with that IT
company for that duration but I m in the process of starting a IT business so is there a
way to get like a 2 to 3 year temp visa for that purpose? Thanks in advance.

Hi Malcolm,

You need permission to get a change of sponsor, and it's a lot of work, although not
impossible, to set yourself up as your own sponsor. If you're in IT, the quickest thing to
do is obtain a pr visa.

Cheers

You could perhaps look at skilled migration which costs approx $1500. If you have skills
in demand this should be a breeze.
