Default Subclass 309 --> 100 ?

Hi all,
2 years ago I got my temp residence visa (spouse subclass 309). I
applied from Berlin. I am now going to apply for permanent residency
from within Australia. Just to be sure: is this subclass 100 ? Or am I
wrong and is it 801 ?
Thanks,
Claire

My husband was on a 309 and went to a subclass 100.

You already applied for the subclass 100 visa when you applied for the 309.
The 2 years is up based on when you *applied* for the 309, not when it was granted. DIMIA should contact you a few months beforehand, if they don't, you need to contact them.

Claire,

As Jeremy's pointed out, you've already applied for a 100 visa when you
applied for your 309.

If you've kept DIMIA up to date with your residental address in
Australia, you can expect a package from DIMIA a few months before 2
years have passed since you applied for your 309.

Bump!! I'm in the same position. I submitted all my paperwork for Permanant residence after 2 years on the temp spouse visa in early December thinking it would only be a couple of weeks. Then I started hearing all these nasty 6-7 month comments. Should I stop checking the mailbox with such excitment every day

The proverbial question "how long is a piece of string"....all applications are different - there is no set time, I'm afraid.
Mine has been lodged in Brisbane, earliest possible grant date 25th Feb....I'll post on here when its granted .......

I'm in your boat too folks!! I submitted my stage 2 info in mid December. I rang immigration "just to let them know my new change of address just in case they have to send me something re their decision" & the lady told me that I should hear in a couple of weeks (and I was told that on 19th Jan). Will let you know if I hear anything too!
