Subclass 189
Hi
Do I get the benefit of sponsorship for the Visa Subclass 189.
I have eligible relatives in Sydney and they are Australian citizens.
Can they sponsor me for the Visa 189.
How long it will take to get the invitation after lodging an EOI.
Please help.

No, the 189 is an independent visa & so you can't be sponsored for it.

I understand that I will not be getting any points for sponsorship.
But can I give their names as sponsors. will it give any preference to my profile if I have relatives in Australia.

Also, family sponsorship is pretty useless these days. You certainly wouldn't get preference over state sponsored or independent.
