Default subclass 175 questions

Hi, I'm new here. But I have been looking at this forum for a while now!

I've got some questions surrounding application for the subclass 175 visa, some of which I'm wondering might affect my application.

1) If you are currently working in Australia (on and off) under a 456 visa and are required to go on an ongoing basis, should this affect the application?

2) Out of curiousity, if you apply for a visa and get made redundant soon after (i.e. before any critical review process), will the application be a write-off?

3) and last, but not least. Say you are awarded a 175 visa, are you obliged to take up the occupation that you declared to get the visa?
I'd imagine that they don't review it once you are there and assume that you will take up employment that you have experience in.

I'm thinking of applying very shortly and am aware it can take some time!

Many thanks in advance for your replies.

I didn't understand the first question, never heard of a 456 visa (do you mean 457?) and not sure what you mean by "required to go on an ongoing basis". Required to go where?

To your other two questions, getting made redundancy or otherwise leaving your job after the application is lodged will not effect the application. And no you do not have to work in the occupation you nominate for the application.
