STUDENT VISA WHILST PARTNER ON 457 VISA
Hello all,
Has anyone applied for a student visa, whilst their OH goes on 457 visa??
We just thought that it would be a good idea, as my OH will be 45 this year. I go on the student visa to be able to get PR after my course, as i'll be 43 this October.
We have heard stories about people having to coming back to U.K, if they didn't get their PR afterthe end of employer sponsorship contractual term.
Wether this possible we don't know, however, would love to hear from anyone who have have tried this or any other way to secure PR.

Not sure that would work. Family members of a student visa holder are only allowed to work up to 20 hours a week during term time. If your OH has a full time job he will be working illegally with regard your visa and you would be thrown out - I think That's if you could both get different visas in the first place.

However this strategy opens up a range of complexities and should not be contemplated without professional assistance.
