Student Loan
Hi, I was just talking to a friend who lives in Australia and he said that it may be hard emigrating with debt. The only debt I have, apart from a mortgage is a student loan. Has that caused anyone else problems? My partner is an Australian citizen and we'll be married by the time we go so I'm going with her as my sponsor on a spousal visa. I can't find any guidance on this anywhere.

Your credit history in your home country does not affect anything in Australia, whether it's a good one or a bad one.
If you do a search on the main Australia forum there are loads of posts on 'debt'
