When are you thinking of. We're going to be in Cheadle in September for my Dad's birthday, but wouldn't mind dropping in.

Hi, The old Aussie bar 'Downunder', with the upsidedown sign is closed, but there is a new one along the road.
It would be good if as many people as possible could meet up and be stressed and excited together.
When would be a good time do you think? Any suggestions?
Caroline

Hi Kirsten, me too.....it whiles away some of the time while waiting for things to happen downunder!
I'm a nurse (at Bucknall Hospital) applying for employer sponsorship to Melbourne. Hopefully, if everything goes to plan we (husband, Carl and I) should be there in Feb.
What about yourself?

Got to get ready to go to work in a minute but would love to hear from you and other Stokies so we can sort out a meeting sometime soon.

Hi, Aussie Bar sounds good to me - when, any suggestions?
Noticed a couple of other people are interested too - suggest a couple of dates so we can all arrange something?

I have just finished a law degree at Staffs Uni and am hoping do my articles in Perth WA. As we (husband Paul and 15 yr old Josh) are hoping to be in Perth in January, i can't really start any permanent jobs or post grad study here so am trying to get some voluntary work in the meantime. (although that is proving harder than i imagined it would be!!)

So my life is really on hold at the moment and i am fed up. Know any solicitors that need any temporary help????

Sorry don't know any solicitors.

Any suggestions for a meeting time/date if you are up for it?

We're in Stoke to and about to submit a visa app.

A meet at the Walkabout is a must, if only for another couple of bottles of VB

I'll PM a couple of you so I don't get missed off the invite list

Sent you a message on the other Stokie thread. Quite a few people have expessed an interest. Just need to sort a date out.
I am applying for ENS as I am a nurse - hopefully will be in the 'land down-under' (showing age there - remember that song?) around Feb next year.
I will start another thread asking for suggestions for date?
