Default STNI and Skill Matching

Hi there,

I'm an International Student in Melbourne doing MIT. After completion
of my course my points would be 115. ( Skill : 60, Age : 30 , Language
Skill : 20, Australian qualification: 5). I have few queries related
to SIR, STNI and Skill Matching categories.

1. I don't see any chance of getting PR after spending 3 yrs being a
Temporary Resident in the Regional Area. As the 3 routes to PR are not
easy/possible. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

2. As my course( duration of the course 1.5 yrs) will be completed in
the Nov '2004 and ACS will give me 60 points for my qualification and
my points would be 110. So can I apply for the State Nomination(as the
pool mark is 70) directly instead of going to SIR and then apply again
for the State Nomiantion for the PR. If so, then pleae guide me how do
i go about it ?

3. I need to know how to apply for STNI and do i need a job for STNI?

4. How does skill matching work ? How can i apply for the skill
matching database? If, I understand it correctly skill matching and
STNI go hand in hand, as skill matching will result in job offer which
in turn will support my STNI application ? Please correct me If i'm
wrong .

Many Thanks !!!

Default Re: STNI and Skill Matching

As you won't meet the 2 year study rule as things stand, you can't apply for any onshore student PR category and will need to apply offshore - and with recent skilled work experience. This applies to *any* general skilled migration category, including STNI and SIR.

Your questions are far too complex for an online forum to give you any real guidance, and they demonstrate a number of fundamental understanding gaps that suggest that answers will only confuse you further. Simple advice is to hire a professional to assist you.
