Exclamation Statutory Declaration Sign

Hello everyone!
The Statutory Declaration I need to provide should be signed by authorised witness. In ACS booklet they give the list of Australian witnesses, but for oversea application refer to local embassy of Australia. Here in the embassy they said they wouldnt be able to sign anything until I provide the complete guidance list how should it be done. Im wondering, how did you handle this within your countries, people?? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

You are from UK originally, right? Where did you obtained the list of eligible to sign that?

Yes, UK. I didn't obtain a list of anything. It is normal practice for statutory declarations to be signed by a solicitor.

Let me ask you one more thing, did you use Australian form or UK?

Commonwealth of Australia
STATUTORY DECLARATION
Statutory Declarations Act 1959

This form I found...

I am in the UK, so I used UK format. There won't be many UK solicitors willing to sign the Australian format.
