Question State Sponsorship Do's and Don's

Dear Friends

I'm planning to apply for State Sponsorship. I'm a IT specialist from INDIA. From Day 1 of my journey towards PR, I have been always helped with the valuable advise from my forum friends and I need the same again to make good decision. I would like to know the following:

1. The best state to apply for state sponsorship for IT personnels?
2. Important tips/docs to get the process done quicker and in the right way?
3. Knowledge of Important Do's & Don's from the experts pls?

Thanks for all your kind helping time. Much appreciated buddies.

States which require you to write statement buy/rent a loney planets guide on the area( this got me a sponser from wa, and sa).

Also test the job market in the area by contacting agents, and making job applications, and then follow it up.

Also learn the job market history for the 10 years of that area, and furture of the job market in the area.

If you need to do budget for example for wa sponser, over estimate it by 10 15% and pick the worst case scenario for the length of unemployment.

I did the above and this got me two sponsers in wa and sa. but i choosed sa because the wa came once my visa was granted

On paper its NSW and Victoria, but from my experience of the Austrlian job it comes down to contacts and networking.
I have found if you show will do anything and you come across friendly and humble, you can gain contacts which will help u

Hi there,
Offshore people like myself get an idea about the job market from web sites such as seek.com When it comes to SA I have seen the demand is poor for IT jobs, specially Software development etc. But when it comes to the SA skill list which was updated in April 2010, you can find the whole bunch of IT occupations categorized under the old ASCO code 2231-79. This confuse me as SA actually looking for skills or they are in an attempt to grab more people.

i called from the uk, so where in the problem. Using seek to look at the job market in the area does not give you the real picture of the job market. As its well known 40% of the jobs on the boards are pasted to gain work.

SA has got some big it companies there, and they do hire

your letter needs to be broken up into the falling:

lifestyle
location within the state
Job chances
What are you doing to prepare youself(are you getting another job related to states employment needs to gain experience in your own country to improve your chances)
What have you done to research the job market(job boards, agents, ccompanies, news papers)
money+budging
how long you expect to be unemployed for(as I mentioned before pick worse case)

Hi
Regarding job chances, when it comes to bellow point from the list you have given in brackets which option I can mostly rely on! jobs posted on online sites such as seek.com actually reflect the real demand for a particular industry ?

actually i never heard of this, The big IT companies have development centers in india anyway,As the indian development centers do the donkey work

but if you have PR, there is more chance they are going to hire you, than temp worker, as they dont need to apply for a visa.

You cant really on seek, for example your search result brings back 30, how many of those 30 jobs are live? and how many of those fake(to see what applicates are on the market)? and many are closed to applications?
