I am applying for a de facto visa in Australia at the end of this month.

I was wondering if it would be useful to get Stat Decs from friends from the states. I took my boyfriend home with me for this last Christmas for a month. He met many of my friends but they havn't known him for atleast a year. (I think I read that to do a Stat Dec you had to know the applicant for a year.) And the friends that I would ask to do them, only hung around with him for about 2 weeks (we did other traveling). But, they have heard about him through emails and phone calls...

We have atleast 5 Stat Decs from friends here in Australia, and his parents/brother....
