Default Spouse Visa Information?

Hi every one

I validated my PRV in October 2005,stayed in sydney for 15 days and returned back to my native country where I got married On 01-01-2006. Now I am planning to go to sydney again for 2 years. I want to apply for visa for my spouse. The basic question which I want to ask is Can I apply visa for my spouse even though I will be jobless in early days? or I have to first do some job in order to sponsor my spouse?

regards

Hi,

I don't think you need a job, we are applying for spouse visa and hoping to go with no jobs to go to however, if you jump over to the barbie there is an ongoing thread on spouse visas where i'm sure someone will be able to confirm this.

If you're not employed the risk of an Assurance of Support being demanded increases.

Also, you will normally be expected to show you are "usually resident" in Australia as you are not an Australian citizen.
