1. Typically no. Employers go to lots of time and effort and cost to sponsor someone - they want people with skills.

2. Yes, of course.

My husband is not on the skilled list and has been told that even though it is difficult to find a sponsor that if we could find one he could be sponsored on a 457, he's a digger driver.

Your best bet would be to contact an agent, there's some good one's on here like Alan Collett from gomatilda or George Lombard!

With regards to shows there is an Expo on 12th & 13th April at Olympia London which you can buy tickets for. Google Expo London Olympia and it will bring it up.

you could apply for a student visa and take up a training course in oz or something to match the skills on demand e.g. hairdressing. thats if you REALLY REALLY want to, might cost quite a bit for internationals students to study, that might be worth looking into.. umm duno what else u can do..
