Sponsor claiming benefit
We are looking to apply under class 139 but currently my sister (our sponsor) is in dispute with Centrelink regarding a $10K overpayment. As a family they are also claiming "Parenting Payment". I am concerned this is going to be a big issue for our application. Any thoughts please.

Your sister needs to resolve dispute before acting as sponsor.
Unless the rules have changed dramatically in the last few years

I don't think this will be an issue if she's your sponsor. However if she's your assurer we'll have to see what line Centrelink takes on AoS issues such as this.
