Default sponsor / assurer of support

Hello guys,

I have a tricky question for you and any help would be highly appreciated...

Currently I'm in Sa together with my partner. I'm permanent resident (for approx 4 weeks now ), he is here on a Tourist Visa but would like to stay. I know that I can sponsor him as a permanent resident once I've made my initial entry and have settled in oz, which I have. We have flat and stuff.
Just to make some money I have taken on a casual job, part-time. We can make our living with the hours I work and our savings but for now it's nothing permanent. It would be easier if he would get a work permit quickly, which is why we are thinking of applying for his visa asap.

But is my job enough to sponsor my partner? I'm anxiouis that Dimia asks for an assurer of support based on my poor earnings. We won't be a risk for oz social security because both of us are not eligible to apply for anything. But still...

Any ideas please????
