Some questions

Hi all, I have few questions to all of you: Do I have to include my baby's photos
with the application to the Australian Embassy for the skilled Indy program? I mean
pasport size photos. When I have to expect to be invited for an interview, if I lodge
my application in 23.07? When DIMA will ask me to take the medicals and police
checks? Do I have to go at the intrview with my spouse (she did not met the basic
requiermrnts, except the English)? Do I have more optimistic chances if my father is
Australian citizen, but he did not sponsor me? How much is the minimum amount of
money I have to bring with me in Australia in AUD? I will appreciate all your answers
and many THNX in advance!

Hi Zaggy,
Some answers:

Yes, silly as it may seem.

Normally there is no interview, it's done on the papers and through checks by DIMA.

After your case has been assessed as meeting the general criteria. No way of knowing
how soon that will be.

You'll need to provide papers to prove your relationship, but generally a baby is
pretty good evidence.

Not really.

Estimates range from A$20,000 to A$50,000, but this is one advantage of being
sponsored by a relative, that you can lessen this requirement. This is a very grey
area, unfortunately.

Do I just have to have the money or does the DIMA want to see any proof?

Hi Udo,

None of our European clients have ever reported being asked for proof, although this
is a common experience for applicants elsewhere. I wonder what NG participants have
experienced?
