Default Some advice please?

Hi,

I am seriously considering the plunge into applying to migrate to Australia
but I do not know if I would be elegible or not.

I am a visual basic developer / it specialist but I only hold a MS advanced
visual basic course certificate although I have been developing software in
the industry for over 5 yrs.

Without a formal qualification, would I be instantly disqualified from
applying?

Many thanks

Jim

Jim,

Take a look at the ACS homepage: http://www.acs.org.au/ and see their
newest guidelines for skills assessment for migration. It is possible
to get a Recognition of Prior Learning assessment, which, if
successful, will allow you to get the 60 points for skill.

You will, however, need at least 6 years' of relevant IT experience to
get this RPL assessment.
