slipping dream
Thanks for you replies, the problem is my husband is a qualified BT engineer and digital/satellite engineer, but has not enough recent experience to qualify for skill or sponsorship, he left BT in 2004 and was made redundant from his satellite position last year, is now working in warehouse, so as to keep working, i have tried all the agencies plus more, am in contact with one agency in Australia that has assured me that they can find us both positions but we need to be there, catch 22, not wanting to give up but could do with some help.

If you have contacted various agencies, hopefully these will have included those who have a very good reputation on this site, have they not given you advice on how you can move forward?

Have you tried speaking to George Lombard or Allan Collett?
They have excellent reputations & should hopefully be able to advise you!
So sorry I cannot help more other than to wish you luck & don't give up your dream!

Go Matilda, have said we have to get a job before going, but not sure how to do this as all jobs state must have residency, so catch 22 situation unless someone knows something out there that would help?????

Re: slipping dream
Have you thought about coming out for a holiday and seeing if you can get sponsorship that way. It's usually easier to get here than there.

Re: slipping dream
How old are you? plenty of people in their late 30's or early 40's out here on them.
Holiday/sponsor hunt - might be an idea to send your OH on his own?
