Default SkillsTest, TRA

We have had our skills accepted by the TRA, and received a letter with
our acceptance on it and the asco code. That is all we received, is
this correct, I expected some sort of certificate.
Is this what every one else got?
Thanks L.

Hi,
Thank you for all your replies:)
It is actually my husband that got his skills accepted, but I must
admit I did most of the work to apply, you know all the endless phone
calls and running around. He is a plumber/gasfitter and we are kicking
ourselves now as he is self employed, and would have been able to apply
for general plumber, which is now on the MODL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a different ASCO Code, we even contacted TRA to see if we could
apply again and pay, but, use all the same evidence but they were not
very helpfull.
We had it fast tracked and it took about 7-8 weeks from posting,
I must admit we are over the moon,
My husband wants to go like yesterday.

Hi everyone,
Joanne, nice to hear from another plumber's wife, The getting the
evidence together took us a lot longer than waiting for the assessment,
if your husband is self employed, then, leave no stone un-turned when
it comes to getting evidence. Our first application was refused, due to
lack of independant evidence. If you want to know more, get in touch.
We are not sure where we want to go, maybe some where between Sydney
and Brisbane.
We have no worries about getting a job, infact we have already been
asked to get in touch with some one when we arrive but we were really
after a employers sponser.
We went to Sydney twice last year and there were job vacancies all over
in the trade merchants.
Our 1st TRA application took 3 months as a standard application and 2nd
application took 7-8 weeks from posting, fast tracked.
Congrats to you too Bun. Why not get your application in, you do not
have to state where you want to live and WHEN you get your visa you can
take as long as you want to work out all the fine details, like a
job!!!
Cheers L****
