Skills assessment requirement for a 457
Hi all,
I am a British citizen with 25 years experience as a panel beater. I have been offered a job in Perth with sponsorship under the 457 visa. The company are in the process of sorting my contract out, in the meantime should i (or do i) have to have my skills assessed. I have read that some trades or jobs don't need to be assessed i'm just a bit unsure as to should i be doing this while i'm waiting to hear back. Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Mark.

i am a panel beater and sprayer with 15 years experience, but am not qualified, my father taught me and i am good at my job. I have worked with fully qualified sprayers who are no where near as good, but where does that leave me in obtaining a 457 visa, do you HAVE to have the qualification?
