How many years should i go back on my application with regards to my CV???

try to keep to relevant skills for the assessment you are applying for and try to go back as far as you can if not at least 10 years.

Hi Jane just depends on which cv your on about if its your personal cv then i would do it from leaving school listing exams taken/ passed this is what we have done.
if its for your trade assesment then like my friend Sasha has said

We've put all the jobs my husband has ever had where it asks for employment details, but where experience is required detailed just the relevant employment.
