Default Skilled Independent Processing Times

Hi Everyone,

I'm another frustrated "General Skilled Independent" applicant. What
with the
stopping of IT fast tracking, the increase in cost of applying,
increase of
points by 5 & new apllication form. I'm begining to wonder if someone
is trying to tell me something. But that's just me whinging :-), got
it off my chest now. which I think this discussion group is great for.
Thank for reading this :-)

My questions are regarding processing times, I'm keeping an eye on the
www.austimeline.com site regularly and it
seems to me that noone
applying for
the "Skilled Independent" has got a visa approved that has applied
after Feb 15
(Remmy).

Is there anyone out there who has applied after that date and got
approval ?
Does anyone know, do they issue visas in bulk or should it be a
trickle ?
(I see loads of people who are at the "acknowlogement recieved" stage
like myself).

Thanks again for reading this, I find this group is very helpfull.

All the best,
Paul

Although Adelaide seemed to get off to a quick start in Nov/Dec 2001,
it looks like it's slowed up considerably since then. And now that
it's processing the outstanding overseas caseloads, currently
Pretoria, soon London, after that goodness knows where else, those
who've applied in early 2002 and have not been asked for medicals by
now should be counting on the full 50 week processing time.

What is your opion on those who applied early 2002 ( February in our case) and have been asked for medicals.
We returned ours in mid June and really concerned as to why we have heard nothing yet. When we rang Adelaide all they said is that they are being processed.
As we have heard nothing we are coming to the conclusion that we have been put back in date order (as we were originally on the IT Fast Track) despite our medicals being sent - do you have any opinion?
Thanks
Annie
