Default Skilled designated and skill matchng

Hi

Can those who apply under the skilled designated category also add them
selves to the skill matching database, by filling the necessary
sections in form 47sk.

Thanks in advance

No, the skills matching data base is for Skilled Independent (136/137) and Skills matching (134) applicants.

But is it poissible to register your details in the Skill Matching DB and later to apply for the Skilled Visa as well. Or is it really necessary to first take your Skill Matching application off the Database and only then you can apply for a new category (136).

Ghanghro,

I think you're missing the point. If you re-read Tony's reply, he actually said that the skill matching option is available for 136 & 137 applicants. You don't have to withdraw from the skill matching database to get a 136 visa, for instance.
