Default Should I apply for skill matching with General Skilled Independent Application (47SK)

Hi,
I am applying for general skilled independent residency and was wondering if I should request to be put on the skill matching database, detailed in Part I of form 47SK?
Is it a waste of time or could it speed up my application? I don't want to get offered a position in the Back o' Bourke or Wup Wup which I'm inclined to take as I want to go to Sydney.
Cheers,
Nick
