Does anyone have any advice re shipping a car?

Does anyone have any experience of Karman Shipping ?

It's a lot of effort and a huge amount of money if your car is worth
anything.

For example if your car is worth £14k or £16k you'll be looking at around
£4k or £5k for taxes etc. Then you'll have to pay for it to be changed over
for Australian conditions (eg miles to kilometers). If you ever want to
sell it later on, it'll be classed as an import, and many people may not
like that. Motor mechanics may also charge more for services etc if it's an
import.

I'd only ship it if it's of low value (and therefore cheaper in govt taxes
at the other end), or of huge sentimental value or a unique vehicle that
you're unable to buy in Australia.

I used Karman Shipping in 1987 and they were were fantastic back then.
