The waiting is hard, especially when you don't hear a thing for months on end, but my patience has finally been rewarded, and the wheels are moving again.

Hang in there people. :)

Good to know September applicants are also proceeding :) BTW, whats ur occupation and r u from HR country?

Good morning everyone.

I have also good news, this morning I got mail from my CO.. got requests for meds and police check.

There is one only thing that I don't understand. I am asked Evidence of Character for Australia. (I used to live in Australia 10 years ago)

How can I get this police check for Australia? :)

I've already found out the answer. I can get it from Australian Federal Police (AFP) by sending an application form.

Hey Folks!!!
I've applied in August'09, last activity happened in March'09 where in I have uploaded my PCC with asking from CO. Since then no activity.
I have contacted CO twice, one in Aug'10 & second 10 days back. But on both the ocassion I got this reply:
"Routine departmental checking is in progress and once completed you will be notified. I again regret that I am unable to provide a time frame for this."
Is any one tell me how long it take further.
Thanks in advance..

No-one can tell you how long it will take.

How do you expect us to know if the CO doesn't?

I agree, but there must be some deadline to finish at their end for the case or it is open ended. As far as CO information is concerned, I strongly believe that they know it but not disclosing it for whatever reasons.

They are working to their own time-scales, and not yours.

And not mine either for that matter.

All you can do is wait. That's the way it is.

And what possible purpose would that serve? The CO can't tell you because all checks take different lengths of time. They have better things to do than lie to you about timelines.

As per my understanding and calculations, your case could be finalized during June - 2011 to July - 2011
