Default sent to decision maker

hiiiiii!!!!!!

i inquired for my status and their email says following:-

Thank you for your e-mail about your visa application under Australia's
General Skilled Migration program.

I note that all requested documents have been received and this
application is now ready for allocation to a Decision Maker for
finalisation.

There may be some delay before a Decision Maker contacts you regarding
this application, however no further documents are required at this time.

Your patience is appreciated.

Can you please enlighten me what exactly they want to suggest me?

Thanks
Nitu

It just means they have all the relevant information and you now have to wait for the decision.

Shouldn't be too much longer for you now. Basically your Case officer is satisfied with your application and has sent it to the DM. This is the final part of the process

We got this email on a friday and visa grant letter on the monday after (big surprise to only have to have waited the weekend as the email gives the impression it will take ages) so hopefully it won't be long now.

We got the same email, via our agent on 22/5/08 which was last Thursday. From reading this forum it seems it could be anywhere from 2-3 days to 2-3 months. Hopefully it's the former for both of us....

I'll tell you how long they will take if you can tell me just how long that piece of string is...?

Seriously, there are no predetermined timeframes as to how long it will take for the DM to reach a decision, IMHO.

As to the question of how satisified the CO is. That I do not know and I would be curious to know is anyone could answer this also.
If the CO IS safisfied that all the criteria have been met is it just a case of the DM "rubber stamping" the appication or does the CO just confirm that all the required docs have been received, then they pass these to the DM who then reviews the docs etc... to then make a decision on the validity of the app?

You get you visa stamp in you current passport then apply for a new one. When you entre Oz you have to take both passports.

As for the time from DM to visa grant no one can tell you have long this will be we waited 3 months from DM to visa grant but some get it the next day.

Hope you hear soon
