Default RRV Question

I have just been granted permanent residency and am returning to UK in April to get the stamps etc from Australia House.

I have also been offered a very good job back in Blighty and don't want to jeapordise my permanent residency.

I have got residency through the skilled migration route but also have a partner (Australian) of 2 years(not married) and a child through her. Will immigration see this as a compelling enough reason to grant me a RRV bearing in mind I will have only just been granted permanent residency.

Any experiences/pointers appreciated.

You will have to go get your visa label, return to Australia to validate your visa then you have an effective RRV valid for (I think)5 years from grant of visa. You can then freely move between the 2 countries.

To get an RRV you must build up 2 years residence in Australia as a PR.

Excellent thanks for that I thought that it was the case that I'd be good for 5 years to come and go as I please.
