Default RPL - How much experience?

Am I correct in thinking that you need a minimum of 6 years experience
to get a positive assessment from the ACS.

Urgent replies needed.

Thanks in advance

Yes - a minimum of 6yrs experience to get positive assessment for ACS RPL.
Then a further 1yr on top of those 6yrs to satisfy the basic requirements for DIMIA.

Hi Neil,

Not exactly. If you have an IT degree the period is four years. Anything
else requires six years. See www.acs.org.au ...

Cheers

Being that the question was referring to RPL, I thought RPL required 6 years experience??
If the person has an IT degree (& 4 years experience) then that wouldn't be RPL, but Group A - is that right?

Baloo,

George was replying to Neil's (the original poster) question on whether ACS needed a minimum of 6 years for a positive assessment.

The answer to that is "no". 4 years may be enough for a holder of a degree that is equivalent to an Australian bachelor's degree with a major in computing.

The original question referred to RPL though - something that seems to have been missed perhaps?
