Hi there experts;
I have this morning had a request from Victoria SMU, wondering were my migration file number is? I informed them that I had sent the application and would let them know when iI receive the file number.
I replied to them stating; I do know the application arrived at Adelaide Skilled Processing, as my visa card has been debited.
I have asked them to maybe contact them as they may give an update if they quoted my name and Date of Birth details.

Our Medicals have been taken and I have also sent the police
clearance certificates.

Is it possible that they are getting worried as the 6 months is up on the 24th July, could my application be refused?

Why are they requesting my file number?

Any ideas anyone, on what should my next move be?


N.B The visa was only debited on the 24th June

Do Alan, George or Anyone think it is worth giving DIMIA a telephone call?

I know they say don't ask for updates but I am seriously worried about losing my State Nomination

Emailed them today and CC'd the email to SMU, haven't heard anything yet just wondering, bad decision or what?

My 6 months had passed before I recieved my file ref# too, so I sent
an email to DIMIA under the subject STNI BUT NO FILE REF# and they
immediately responded with my file ref # which I forwarded to the
Victoria SMU. About a month later I received my med/pcc request from
DIMIA.
