Red face registration query

Can anyone tell me if it is sensible to register as a nurse with the QNC (as plan to work in Brisbane) before doing skills assessment. Have been told that if I did this then I would only have to do form A assessment rather than form B (form B incidentally costs a lot more). Does anyone understand what I am talking about?? Also is anyone aware that you need to be working at least 20hrs per week to qualify for immigration. I currently do 18.5hrs in my practice nurse post but also do medical screenings for which I dont have proof of hours but obviously have the wage slips and tax returns to prove this. The medicals screenings is self employed. Do you think this might cause problems?
Please help!!

Yes you can register with QNC first then do modified skills assessment with ANMC (cheaper this way). Don't know how you can go about proving your hours though but have a look at the nurses forum...someone there may be able to help
